The client required a reliable surveillance solution to monitor the waterways surrounding a well-known marina in Nadi, where conventional mains power was unavailable.
Unlike consumer-grade solar security cameras, which are designed for light-duty applications and cannot provide dependable 24/7 operation in remote commercial environments.
Groundwire engineered a purpose-built off-grid surveillance solution. Using industry-leading technology from Victron Energy, Teltonika, Ubiquiti, and Dahua, the system delivers continuous power, secure connectivity, and uninterrupted recording for around-the-clock monitoring.
To connect the remote installation back to the marina’s network, Groundwire also designed and deployed a high-performance wireless point-to-point link spanning approximately 1 kilometre, providing reliable real-time video transmission and remote system management.
This project demonstrates Groundwire’s expertise in designing reliable, commercial-grade solar-powered surveillance systems and long-range wireless connectivity for remote locations where traditional power infrastructure is unavailable.
