The client required a reliable surveillance solution to monitor the waterways surrounding a well-known marina in Nadi, where conventional mains power was unavailable.

Unlike consumer-grade solar security cameras, which are designed for light-duty applications and cannot provide dependable 24/7 operation in remote commercial environments.

Groundwire engineered a purpose-built off-grid surveillance solution. Using industry-leading technology from Victron Energy, Teltonika, Ubiquiti, and Dahua, the system delivers continuous power, secure connectivity, and uninterrupted recording for around-the-clock monitoring.
To connect the remote installation back to the marina’s network, Groundwire also designed and deployed a high-performance wireless point-to-point link spanning approximately 1 kilometre, providing reliable real-time video transmission and remote system management.

The client, an established construction company in Fiji, required a secure solution that would allow the business owner, who is based overseas, to continue managing daily operations as if they were in the Fiji office. The solution also needed to provide seamless communication with local customers using the company’s existing Fiji office telephone number.

Groundwire designed and deployed a unified communications platform that integrated both office desk phones and mobile applications, enabling the business owner to make and receive calls from anywhere in the world while presenting the company’s Fiji office number. This ensured a professional customer experience and eliminated the need for international numbers.

To provide secure access to company resources, Groundwire implemented a Fortinet secure remote access solution, allowing encrypted connectivity back to the Fiji office network. The solution enabled staff and management to securely access shared files, folders, and business systems remotely while maintaining enterprise-grade security.
